I'm David, and I founded Handy Brothers. I have five brothers, and on the bigger jobs I bring them in — that is where the name comes from. Everything else is me: the phone, the estimate, and the work.
I started the company in Vancouver a little over two years ago. I came up on job sites rather than through an office — seven years of it, most of that spent learning the trades from people who had been at them a lot longer than me.
I take one customer at a time and I take them properly. You get an estimate I wrote myself after looking at the work, a straight answer when something behind a wall changes the plan, and the same phone number afterwards if anything needs putting right.
I am not trying to win a job. I am trying to be the person you call the next time something needs doing, and the person whose number you pass to a neighbour. Most of my work already arrives that way, and that is the only review that counts.
