Scope
How we build it
Wet ground and a wet winter are the local reality. A fence built for somewhere drier does not last here.
- Line and levels set out before anything is dug, so the fence follows the ground rather than fighting it
- Post holes dug to depth for the height of the fence and the ground it sits in
- Posts set and left to cure before the weight of the rails goes on them
- Rails and boards fixed with fasteners that will not bleed rust down a new fence
- Gates hung on posts sized for the swing, not on the nearest one
- Old fence and offcuts taken away

From your call to the finished run
1. Contact
Call, text a photo, or send the form. Most requests get an answer in about two hours.
2. Estimate
We look at the work in person, measure and photograph it, and put a written price in your hands at no charge.
3. Work
Materials bought, floors covered, work done stage by stage. Nothing important changes without a call.
4. Finish
Final details, a clean site, and a walkthrough together before we call it done.
Cost
What changes the price
Fencing is priced by the run, but two runs of the same length can be very different jobs.
- Length, height and how many corners and gates it has
- The ground. Slopes, roots and rock all slow the digging down
- Access. A back garden reached through a house is a different day to a driveway
- Whether an old fence has to come out and be hauled away first
- Materials and board style
- Repair or replace — sometimes three posts fix a fence and a full replacement is money you did not need to spend
Questions
Straight answers
Can you repair just part of the fence?
Often, yes, and it is usually the right call. If the boards and rails are sound and two posts have rotted, replacing those two is the honest fix. We will tell you when a run is far enough gone that patching it is throwing money at it.
Do you handle the property line?
The line is yours to confirm — we build where you tell us. If you are not certain where it runs, sort that out before the holes are dug: moving a fence afterwards is the expensive version.
Do I need a permit?
That depends on height and where you are. Rules differ between the city and the county, and we will point you at the right office rather than guess for you.
How long does a fence take?
Most residential runs are a matter of days, not weeks. Posts need to cure before the rest goes on, so there is usually a gap in the middle rather than continuous work.
What about the old fence?
It leaves with us unless you want to keep the timber.
